About the software team

We’re a diverse team made up of a Product Manager, two Product Designers, and six Software Engineers - one of whom also serves as the team manager. Our team is an even mix of Danes and internationals, bringing a broad range of perspectives to our work.

We juggle a wide variety of challenges, from managing a rapidly growing fleet of hundreds of devices to building and maintaining infrastructure for AI. We care deeply about writing clean, maintainable, and sustainable code, ensuring that what we build today continues to support our growth in the future.

The purpose of the role

You’ll play a key role in shaping the user experience of our platform, translating complex scientific workflows into intuitive and elegant interfaces. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to build seamless and performant user interfaces. Your work will directly impact how researchers interact with our automation tools, ensuring that scientific data is accessible, actionable, and beautifully presented. You’ll contribute to our frontend architecture, optimize performance, and establish best practices that enable us to scale. As part of our team, you’ll help define the future of biotech research through exceptional software.

What we value:

  • A strong desire to build intuitive and accessible user interfaces that empower researchers.

  • Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (e.g. Svelte, React, or similar) and a solid understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, and web performance.

  • Knowledge of web fundamentals.

  • Comfortable in a shell - we love developers who can navigate the command line with ease, whether it’s debugging, scripting, or just feeling at home in a Unix-based environment.

  • A keen eye for design and user experience, with an appreciation for well-crafted UI components and interactions.

  • Strong collaboration skills - working closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to bring ideas to life.

  • Experience with or interest in working in a fast-growing scale-up environment, where adaptability and initiative are key.

  • A pragmatic approach to software development, balancing speed and quality to deliver impactful solutions.

  • Enthusiasm for writing clean, maintainable code and contributing to a healthy engineering culture.

  • A growth mindset - always reading up on the latest technology trends or working on your dotfiles.
